The team at Mana Mental Health Services believe all people have the potential to have a life worth living. For people with experience of mental illness we call this recovery. Recovery is not just managing your mental illness, it is about actively working towards the life you want.

Mana Mental Health Peer Support Service offers you, as a user of mental health services, the opportunity to work with someone who has been through this process. They will support you on your recovery journey, whether it be in an inpatient setting or in the community.

Mana Mental Health Services has launched a CD called STAND TALL

Mana Mental Health Services is a consumer lead service that provides Peer Support/Advocacy to consumers / tangata whaiora (those adults who have experienced/experience some form of mental illness, and who are using / used mental health services). Our service is funded by Lakes District Health Board so it is free to the public.

Mana Mental Health Services also contracts in other areas such as: Project work, Consultancy,Auditing Services and Facilitation workshops based around Recovery and Destigmatisation for those people who experience some form of mental illness.

Mana Mental Health Services provides opportunities for people with experience of mental illness with career pathways in the health area.
